I’m Ivy Bishop, living in Hillsborough, North Carolina, enjoying life as a daughter-of-The-King.  I’m married to Gary Bishop (of UNC fame.)  We’re “empty-nesters” – and proud parents of Jonah and Hannah.  They’re married now, so we’ve added Stephanie and Tristan to our clan! And the latest sparkling blessing, our darling little Zoe! Love all around!

As a child I asked Jesus to be my Savior, and as I’ve grown, I’ve learned more about Him and have become more in love with Him.  Jesus allowed my education at the “school of hard knocks” which is hard and bumpy.  I can truly testify that He is everything He says He is – and even more!

In the 1990’s, I was diagnosed as bipolar. It’s been quite a ride and I seem to still be sitting in the seat.  The wonderful thing is that Jesus is sitting right next to me, holding my hand.  He and I have quite a story, and He’s the best Teacher anyone can have.

So this is my testimony:  No matter where you are in life, up, down, sideways, normal (what is that?) or anywhere else that you may find yourself on any given day – I must tell you that Jesus loves you right now, right where you are, just as you are.  You don’t have to “pretty” yourself up for Him.  I can testify to this personally, and I know it as truth.  Jesus is Truth.  The Holy Spirit told me and Jesus Himself showed me.  He still does, every day.
